THE KING’S BUSINESS

Shame, disgrace, and disaster to mind, soul, and body, with regard to one self and to others. 2. The penalty in the life to come. Sin will surely bring punishment upon the sinner himself. And what is more awful—others will fee lost because of our sin. V. Relief from the tyranny of the past, 1. We must face it. No man can turn over a new ,leaf without dealing squarely with the old leaves. This is optional now, but will be compulsory on the day of judgment. 2. We must make it right with God and man. I ntroduction : The appalling ignorance of Christians concerning the Word of God. I. The Christian’s approach to the Bible. 1. It must be personal—for himself. We should study nature from nature. We should study the Bible by the Bible itself; not so much by books about it. , ' 2. He must approach the Bible as a unique Book. Not .as a comparative, but as a super lative Book. As a letter from a man’s mother is different than a
