Saviour. When she confessed her faith in Jesus to her mother she met with bit terest persecution; Bible after Bible of hers was committed to the flames, and the treatment accorded the daughter became so bad that, as a humane measure, the Court had to intervene and take the girl from the mother. Time and again the mother has used various means to get her daughter to renounce her faith in Jesus Christ but without avail. Recently this young girl was baptized in the Church of The Open Door, and on learning this, the mother declared that act of baptism cut her off forever from her family and there was no longer any relation, between them. Pray for this young ¿girl, who, far from being daunted by her stormy Christian experience, is desirous of getting training in Christian work, in anticipation of be coming a missionary. hearts.”. Glory be to God., Since there have been a number *of con versions, we have formed four groups of believers into Bible classes, and seek to build them up in the most holy faith, and also feed them with the Bread of ¿Life. Several young men have accepted Christ as their Savior, and all testify to the joys received. Ope old man testifies that he regrets having lived all his life in rebel lion toward God, and says that he is daily repentant of his past life,: but now he reads his Bible daily and prays, trusting in the love of God. Another man and his wife both testify that since Jesus has come into their lives, the drink habit has gone from them, and they have no more desire to drink strong wine which they always had on hand in the house. Now all is,

As an illustration of the spiritual results of this branch of our work, we have with us in the Mission Home a Jewish girl, who used to attend the Bible School which we formerly conducted in another section of the city. The girl overheard a conversa tion between one of our workers and her older sister. She became so interested in their conversation which was all about the things pf God, that she followed the worker around the house out of sight of her mother, and questioned her about spiritual things. Knowing her mother’s attitude toward Christianity, she would meet the worker away from her home and eventually accepted the Lord Jesus as her T HE blessing e f the Lord continues to attend our efforts to reach the Mexi can people at our doors, who are as greatly in need of'missionary effort as in any for eign mission field, and almost as produc tive as those obtained in the regions beyond. Just here we want to make thanks giving and praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and give Him all the glory for what He has wrought through the ministry of His Word and. the work of the Holy Spirit. It is indeed a great privilege to be put in trust with the Gospel, and we rejoice that we can offer to these Mex icans, who have been held in ignorance and superstition, the life-giving Word, and rejoice to say that many who have “looked unto Him, have been lightened,” because, “the light of the glorious Gospel, who is the image of God, hath shined into their
