Dear Friends: Welcome to Sinclair Cattle Company’s 22nd Annual Spring Production Sale. It’s always a pleasure to invite our friends, both old and new, to join us in Buffalo, Wyoming. Since 1887, the genetic makeup of this cowherd has demanded live calves, pounds of beef, and superior mothering ability – the final measure for us and our customers. The Emulation line of cattle has been a huge part of this, first through the N Bar Ranch and the Elliott Family, who later entrusted Sinclair Cattle Company with the opportunity to become stewards of these great genetics. The Sinclair line-bred females, are expected to be consistent performers, producing offspring with strong weaning and yearling weights, through outstanding milk production with low inputs. As you look through the catalog, you will see that Sinclair has plan mated this offering, stacking great foundation cows in the pedigrees. Every year we try to find an outside bull to introduce, one that will enhance the genetic potential, and mesh with Sinclair line bred female. This set of bulls represent the very best of over 250 bulls, selected at weaning at the end of September. They have endured a strict culling process for fertility, structural soundness, and genetic merit, which continues right up to the day they are delivered. The bulls are fed up at the Veltkamp Feedlot on a high roughage ration. Phil and his crew do an outstanding job with the care and feeding of the bulls, and heifers. The select group of Heifers are right out of the middle cut of the registered cows. We are confident they will make good cows. The heifers will remain at the Veltkamp Feedlot. Arrangement can be made with Phil Veltkamp to AI the heifers at the buyer’s expense. Please make these arrangements through Logan Baker.
