AICC Chairman Levesque Talks Corrugated On Packaging Podcast Terri-Lynn Levesque, vice president of administration at Royal Containers and current chairman of AICC, joined host Kaylee Vander, associate content and online editor at Packaging Impressions , for a recent episode of the Parlor Talks podcast to discuss her career path, leadership ap- proach, and outlook on the corrugated industry. The conversation, recorded during Women’s History Month, followed Levesque’s progression from a summer student on the plant floor to a senior leader and industry advocate, while also touching on broader shifts in work- force development, technology, and the role of women in packaging.

Nothing’s more rewarding than a couple made for each other.

Levesque’s entry into corrugated began early and close to home. She started working summers at Royal Contain- ers while still in high school, following her mother into the plant. What began as a practical job opportunity became a long-term path. More than 28 years later, Royal remains the only company she has worked for. At the outset, her ambitions leaned toward teaching. That interest, she said, continues to shape how she ap- proaches her role today through mentoring, leadership de- velopment, and involvement in AICC. The setting changed, but the core focus on developing people remained. Her career at Royal Containers reflects steady move- ment across departments. She worked in roles spanning the plant floor, customer service, bookkeeping, estimating, and administration. That cross-functional experience now informs how she leads. Rather than imposing solutions, she described a pref- erence for allowing teams to work through challenges and develop their own answers. That process, she said, is es- sential to building problem-solvers and future leaders. Mentorship played a central role in her development. Levesque identified Royal Containers President Kim Nel- son as a particularly significant influence. Nelson provid- ed early opportunities in the office, supported Levesque’s continued education, and helped shape her professional trajectory. That investment, Levesque noted, reinforced her long-term commitment to the company and its future.
