Siegwerk Receives RecyClass Technology Approval Siegwerk, a global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications and labels, has received a Re- cyClass Technology Approval for two of its nitrocellulose (NC) free ink series. The new approval confirms that the flexo ink system UR 62 is meeting the recyclability require- ments for surface‑printed PE and PP flexible packaging in Europe. These alternatives to NC-based inks are designed to support recyclable packaging structures while maintaining the high printing and converting performance required in industrial flexographic applications. Ink Acquisition In other news, Siegwerk has purchased Hi-Tech Inks, located in Vapi, India. Hi-Tech Inks adds solvent- and wa- ter-based inks, metallic, and special-effect inks to Siegw- erk’s portfolio. Informa Markets has announced that registration is open for LOUPE Americas 2026, formerly Labelex- po Americas. The event is set to return to Chicago from 15-17 September at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont. Revitalized Education With more than 400 exhibitors and a revitalized focus on education, networking and technology showcases, the event reaffirms its position as the largest dedicated label and package printing show in the Americas.

As the first LOUPE event, LOUPE Americas re- mains focused on the label industry with an expand- ed scope into mid-web flexible packaging, namely shrink sleeves and pouches, and inline carton con- verting. Across the show floor, attendees can expect to see innovative technologies driving this expansion, revealing new concepts of application and creativity. Sense of Discovery Highlighting this sense of discovery, the theme of the event, “Explore Hidden Depths,” directly cap- tures the experience of exploring these innovations. Attendees are encouraged to navigate the show as if moving through an underwater world – uncovering new technologies and immersing themselves in the evolving landscape of label and package printing. This year, there will be two types of ticket pass- es to the show. An expo pass will include access to the exhibit floor and all show floor activities across all three days of the event. An education pass will guarantee unlimited access to the exhibit floor and all show floor activities for all three days of the event plus entry to the two-day conference, keynotes and workshops.
