SUN Appoints Wittkopf West Coast Capital Equipment Sales Manager Glen Arm, Maryland based SUN Automation Group has an- nounced the appointment of Dawn Wittkopf as West Coast Capital Equipment Sales Manager. In this role, Wittkopf will focus on developing new op- portunities for SUN’s capital equipment solutions while supporting corrugated manufacturers across the region with strategic guidance and industry expertise. Wittkopf brings a strong technical and commercial background to SUN. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Me- chanical Engineering from Eastern Washington University and previously served as a Sales Application Engineer at Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC, where she

spent more than three years working closely with custom- ers to evaluate equipment needs and deliver tailored solu- tions. Her experience combines engineering knowledge

with customer-focused sales, enabling her to effectively support corrugated manufacturers in achieving their oper- ational goals. Throughout her career in the cor- rugated industry, Wittkopf has demon- strated steady professional growth

and a commitment to building strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike. She is known for continu- ally expanding her technical knowledge while developing meaningful partnerships that help drive long-term success. “Dawn’s engineering background and customer-fo- cused mindset make her an excellent addition to the SUN

TAPPI Names Recipient Of Magnabosco Award

TAPPI has announced that John DeJar- nette has been named winner of the Paul W. Magnabosco Outstanding Local Section Award, which recognizes remarkable lead-

ership and service to one or more TAPPI Lo- cal Sections. “DeJarnette’s con- tinued service and ded- ication to the Gulf Coast TAPPI/Dixie PIMA Local

Section is truly commendable,” said TAP- PI President and CEO Lawton C. Roberts. “I look forward to presenting him with the Magnabosco Award at TAPPICon®.” DeJarnette is a Senior R&D Scientist with Smurfit Westrock leading fiber technology research and development projects from laboratory work to pilot evaluation and mill scale up in the areas of virgin, recycled, and alternative wood fiber types. He is an active member of the Gulf Coast TAPPI/Dixie PIMA Local Section, having served initially on the Executive Committee, later completing the Chair rotations includ- ing multiple years as Chaiman of the Local Section. The award will be presented at TAPPI- Con, April 26-29, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio.
