2024-2025 Our Team
With a small number of core permanent staff, the UKDSC comprises two-thirds secondees from our DGP industry members. Throughout this year, we have maintained our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace by implementing processes and organising events designed to ensure every member of our team has the opportunity to thrive. We are in a privileged position to welcome individuals with diverse career backgrounds through our unique employment model.
We have focused on:
1. Supporting Gender Diversity: We are a proud signatory of the Women in Defence Charter.
2. Inclusivity: Through our focused working group, staff and the senior leadership team have worked in collaboration to promote and build an inclusive working environment for all staff.
3. Staff Development: We have improved our Personal Development Review process to support individuals at any stage of their career.
4. Motivational Speeches: We were delighted to hear from Clive Higgins (CEO, Leonardo) about his inspiring journey from apprentice to CEO.
5. Training Access: We have improved our training programme which is available to all staff and secondees and this year included dedicated sexual harassment awareness in the work-place training.
6. Enhancing Collaboration: We have implemented a new Integrated Project approach to promote and increase cross functional teamwork.
