The Frankfurt School is recognised as one of the leading intellectual movements that contributed to broadening the scope of international critique. It employed critical perspectives to analyse the structural, cultural and economic factors that influence international relations. The research begins with the hypothesis that the Frankfurt School has played a role in transforming the concept of security from a traditional state- cantered view to a more holistic approach that considers social and economic challenges. The study examines several case studies from countries such as South Africa, India, the Maldives, Libya, Tunisia and Sudan, demonstrating how Frankfurt School ideas can be applied to address security issues in these various contexts. The research concludes that the Frankfurt School not only provides a critical perspective on global security challenges but also deepens our understanding of the complex dimensions of security. Through critical analysis, the ideas of the Frankfurt School contribute to reshaping security policies to be more inclusive and flexible, thus offering effective frameworks to tackle contemporary security challenges. These findings are highly significant for policymakers and scholars in the field of international relations, emphasising the importance of integrating critical perspectives into security thinking to ensure sustainable and comprehensive stability.
