the study aims to analyse the positions of Islamic political parties in South Africa towards this war, with a particular focus on how their stances are shaped by South Africa’s historical experience with apartheid. The study concludes that these parties’ positions are rooted in a combination of Islamic identity and a shared history of resistance against racism, which positions the Palestinian cause as a central element in their political discourse. The findings also indicate that Al Jama-Ah Party is notably active in advocating for Palestinian support through parliamentary and grassroots initiatives, while the Cape Muslim Congress is distinguished by its strong rhetoric against Zionism and its supporters, though its field activities are more limited. The study underscores the importance of strengthening and further developing these positions to create a more influential force at both the local and regional levels in supporting Palestinians and their right to freedom and independence. Keywords: Gaza, genocide, apartheid, South Africa, Al Jama-Ah Party, Cape Muslim Congress, Zionism.
