The relationship and coherence between the two are vital for understanding protest movements in contemporary Morocco. Furthermore, the chronological development of these studies offers multiple opportunities for interpretation, critique and commentary by Moroccan researchers focused on protest movements, contributing to the accumulation of knowledge and scholarship on the phenomenon of Moroccan protests.
