GPA Packaging Adds PPCTS DGM SMARTFOLD 1100SL Folder Gluer Chatsworth, California based GPA Packaging reported that it has added a DGM SMARTFOLD 1100SL CLASSIC X2 Folder Gluer from PPC Technologies & Solutions LLC (PPCTS).

The SMARTFOLD 1100SL CLASSIC X2 is a new varia- tion of the CLASSIC, which includes a dual crashlock sec- tion configuration that can be fitted with three backfolding shafts, Z, compound and small fold pre-assembled “drop- in” tooling, “bump & turn” with carton aligner, as well as left & right upper driven folding belts in a well laid out spit upper carrier design. Additional features and options include motorized car- riers, job memory recall, independently adjustable crush- ing rollers after the final folding section, integrated blank ejection located in the trombone section and squaring in the compression section infeed. The electrical design is based on non-proprietary “off the shelf” PLC and components housed in cleanly orga- nized and air-conditioned cabinets for easy machine ser- vicing, remote diagnostics capabilities, handheld operator wireless control and dual operator pivoting touch screens The CLASSIC X2 is available in widths of 800 and 1100mm, and is an affordable, cost-effective solution for the folding and gluing needs of converters specializing in complex smaller to medium size cartons for markets like cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and cannabis, while maintain- ing the ability to also produce traditional styles.
