products, says it will add a recycled paper machine in Whitby, Ontario, to produce 400,000 tons per year of light- weight medium and liner. Production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2022, according to a news release. The new paper machine will be Atlantic’s second recy- cled paper machine in Whitby. It is being built adjacent to the current machine, which has been operational since the 1990s. Atlantic Packaging Products reopened the Whitby mill in 2013 after converting production from newsprint to light-weight corrugated medium.
