CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT ROOSEVELT JONES
Chief Master Sergeant Roosevelt Jones is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 412th Test Wing, Edwards Air Force Base, California. He is the principle advisor to the commander on matters concerning readiness, morale, welfare, discipline, training, fitness, quality force initiatives and effective utilization of the wing's 11,000 military, civilian, contractor personnel and their families on the second largest base in the U.S. Air Force. Chief Jones also represents the enlisted force at a multitude of meetings, committees, boards and steering councils supporting the wing's personnel across 57 organizations in developmental test and evaluation to advance multiple Department of Defense programs valued at $24 billion dollars. These test/programs include: F-35, KC-46, F- 22, F-16, B-1, B-2, B-52, C-17, C-130, KC-135, Global Hawk, joint remotely piloted aircraft and emerging technologies. Chief Jones entered the Air Force in December 1995. He graduated from the Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist “Mission Ready Technician” course, Tyndall AFB Florida, in June 1996. His background includes various duties in aircraft maintenance at the squadron, group and major command levels with significant total force and coalition partnership experience. His assignments encompass five MAJCOMs with bases in Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and California. Chief Jones also served overseas in the United Kingdom and Republic of Korea. Additionally, he has deployed to numerous countries for combat
operations in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH, NORTHERN WATCH, DESERT FOX, DESERT THUNDER, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Arica, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and INHERENT RESOLVE. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Group Superintendent, 412th Maintenance Group, Edwards Air Force Base, California.
