Leon A. Mable Mr. Leon A. Mable is the Chief of Contracting for the Presidential Airlift Recapitalization Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. He is responsible for all aspects of contracting related to the recapitalization of the Air Force One fleet. Mr. Mable began his service with the Air Force when he was commissioned in 1979. He served in several contracting leadership positions at the Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, MA; Air Force Program Executive Office for C3 Systems and Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Office at the Pentagon, Washington D.C.; he then served in the B-2, F-16 and Special Operations Forces program offices at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. He retired from active duty as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2001. He began his federal civilian service as an instructor at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Prior to his assignment as the Chief of Presidential Airlift Recapitalization Contracting, Mr. Mable served as Chief of F-22 Contracting.
