Great results for Job Fair
J’habite ici arrive dans le coin Some CSEPR programs include a Job Bank promoting regional employment, a placement agency, summer job bank, and workshops designed to help develop skills to find work. Free job counselling can help individuals with job search, explore different career possibilities, help preparing for interviews, and support. BDO offered a free seminar at both fairs for people who wanted advice on starting or buying their own business. A total of 31 people attended the seminar in Rockland, and 17 in Haweksbury. CSEPR is a non-profit centre that was founded in 1983. The centre posts more than 14,000 jobs per year and holds annual job fairs each year in Rockland and in Hawkesbury. The centre offers subsidised programs, tools and resources for both employers and job seekers. “It’s certainly with great pride that we notice that as the years go by, a reputation of quality is built in our community and beyond, in regards to the CSEPR Job Fair,” said André Roy, Executive Director for the Employment Services Centre.

École secondaire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury. “We had 672 visitors in Hawkesbury, and 500 last week in Rockland,” said Carole Muise, communications agent with CSEPR. “We are once again this year very happy with those results.” The annual job fair brings together employers and job seekers to see if there could be a good fit. “It’s a great place to look for a job and get information,” said Vankleek Hill resident Jesse Fehr. The fair also had employment councillors on hand to help visitors prepare an effective résumé, receive job search assistance, and help students with summer job applications.

Depuis janvier, l’émission J’habite ici, entraîne les téléspectateurs au cœur de communautés francophones de l’Ontario. Les gens de la région ont eu plaisir à re- trouver sur les ondes, des paysages de leur quotidien et des visages connus en regardant notamment, les épisodes consacrés au Can- ton d’Alfred-Plantagenet, au village d’Alexan- dria et à la Ville de Cornwall, entre autres. Ce seramaintenant au tour de Hawkesbury et de L’Orignal de prendre la vedette dans la prochaine émission qui sera diffusée au canal Unis, lemardi 31mars prochain à 20 h (rediffusée le 2 avril et le 12 avril) et ensuite de Vankleek Hill, lemardi 7 avril (rediffusée le 9 et le 12 avril) Rencontrée plus tôt cette année, la productrice de cette émission, Léa Pascal confiait qu’elle avait éprouvée de véritables coup de cœur pour ces villes et villages de l’Est ontarien qu’elle a appris à aimer depuis qu’elle habite et œuvre à Hawkesbury. Malgré leur proximité, elle leur a consacré plus d’un épisode pour faire ressortir leurs particularités, à travers les gens et les lieux qui tissent la personnalité des lieux visités. Elle disait dumême souffle que c’est un grand bonheur que de faire ce métier qui lui permet de découvrir des personnalités émouvantes et de pouvoir le partager au plus grand nombre.
