WEEK 3
Chris Katulka
1
DEAR FRIENDS, Welcome to The Pines Family Campground, or to many of you, welcome back. We are so glad you’ve chosen to spend your vacation with us this summer. Our staff of volunteers are eager to serve you this week in our kitchen, nursery, café, dining room, waterfront, ropes course and in our kids and teen programs. As you look around the property, you’ve probably already noticed some pretty big changes since last year. Allow me to give you a brief update. Since last summer, we have completely renovated the entrance including paving, streetlights, and a wider road to accommodate two-way traffic. We have also built four new camp crew cabins behind the ball field to accommodate our growing staff. We demolished their old cabins, and, in their place, we have constructed nine new cabin units for guests. These units are two and three-bedroom apartments that each have a full bath, kitchen and laundry. We also completed some much-needed infrastructure that includes increasing our water supply and our power supply. Those aren’t the only changes this summer. We have made some improvements to our menu this year, including Tuesday avocado toast breakfast and Friday pizza night. We’ve also added a night of worship to the program on Thursday evening, and we hope you’ll join us for that. This summer, our theme verse is Jeremiah 31:25, which says, “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Our goal for you this week is that you will partake in that refreshing and satisfying God offers you in your relationship with Him. Our team is ready to take as much pressure off you as possible this week so you can drink from the water that Jesus offers us, living water that truly and deeply satisfies our thirsty hearts. We pray you will find a deep sense of rest, enjoyment of your family and ministry
from God’s Word and God’s people. We hope your meals will be filled with laughter, your days will be filled with fun, and your evenings will be filled with rest. Our desire is to see each one of our guests refreshed physically, relationally, and most of all, spiritually.
Sincerely, Jonathan and Cheryl Bubar

HOUSEKEEPING Throughout your stay, please do not move any furniture in the cabins or rooms. If you have any housekeeping needs, contact the Front Desk in person or by phone at 518.494.1391. PINES COFFEE MUGS & PREMIER BLEND Our 2024 coffee mug is a matte black ceramic mug emblazoned with The Pines logo on it. When the cup is filled with our delicious Pines Premier coffee, it reveals a photograph of our beautiful campground. We also are offering a high-quality, vacuum-sealed tumbler in a classic black color with a retro graphic down the side. Don’t forget to stop by our Pines Camp Store to purchase your mug or tumbler so you can get a free fill up with our morning coffee delivery and all day long, as well as $1 off all our specialty coffee options at the Snack Shack for the rest of the week. We are also continuing our tradition of high-end artisan coffee roasted by the Coffee Hound Coffee Company in Brewer, Maine. You can purchase bags of Pines Premier ground coffee in the camp store for that great Pines taste at home. Our camp tradition of the early morning coffee delivery is something that sets our camp apart from the others. Simply leave your mug or tumbler on your picnic table by 6:30 AM, and our team will fill it for you with our fine fresh brew. Because of the additional cabins at The Pines, we will no longer be delivering coffee to our Lakeside facility, but we will be stocking each room with Coffee Hound K-Cups for your free fill ups and refills all day long at your convenience. PURCHASE YOUR FIREWOOD We start you out with a complimentary bundle! Buy additional bundles for only $3, or sign up for delivery at the Front Desk. Rounds are made every morning from 8:30–9:30 AM and every evening from 6:30–7:30 PM.
