HIGH FIVES!

Guide From: Zac Luker, Burley Yard Manager To: Brennan Ingle, IT Network Security & Support Analyst

Just wanted to give a high five to Brennan Ingle in IT for being on top of everything. He’s always super quick to respond and very helpful every time I’ve spoken with him. Thanks, Brennan, for all of your hard work and dedication to keeping our technology running! Wow From: Ty Eldred, Installed Siding Manager TVID Exterior To: TVID Exterior Team We have a customer we have become familiar with over the years. He calls every couple of years with a siding concern on his house, and we schedule a visit to fix the issue. He always calls me afterward to tell me how professional, punctual, and great our guys are. Strive From: Isaac Hazelbush, Pocatello Yard Manager To: Pocatello Yard Crew Just wanted to give a high five to our Yard guys; they have really stepped it up this last month or so on their cleanliness and organization in their work. We were busier in April than any month last year, and they took it in stride. Just wanted to say I appreciate all their hard work.

Easy From: Tyler Honn, Boise Sales CSR To: Judy Baird, Boise Account Coordinator

I want to give a high five to Judy Baird. She is the definition of what an employee-owner should be in my mind. If a job needs to be done, she will ensure it gets done for our internal and external customers. She often will work over the weekend to get a project finished. We just went through two big projects with CBH and SHEA that took a lot of time. She made it through with the help of her fellow AC team, and both relationships are stronger because of her work. During this busy time, she also just got a compliment from CBH, “Thank you for all of these! You’re so on top of it, very helpful and I appreciate it!! Thank you, Judy, for all you do!” Safe From: Eric Heiden, Burley Accounting General To: Erica Self, Burley Inside Sales Erica noticed a huge potential tripping hazard inside the store. She moved it to a location where it is easily seen and now poses no safety issues.

LOCATION HIGHLIGHT: Caldwell Window Department

The Caldwell Window Department plays a crucial role at Franklin Building Supply by delivering all windows to our Caldwell and Boise FBS customers. We want to highlight how this department embodies teamwork, safety, and quality in every aspect of their work. Window Manager Dustin Wickle says his team’s approach stands out because they first understand the customer’s needs and project requirements, then guide them to the best window manufacturer rather than

asking for a preference upfront. The team is small but cooperates well, with each person being flexible and willing to fill various roles. Everyone pitches in wherever needed, making it familiar to see office staff helping unload window trucks in the yard. Given the physically demanding nature of our work, we prioritize minimizing risks. Every team member is trained in safety protocols, ensuring we maintain a low injury rate to keep operations running smoothly and our team members protected.

service to resolve problems. One manufacturer consistently had quality problems with glass, leading to increased service needs. “We made it through, and the quality improved over time,” says Dustin. “A good partnership with our suppliers is key and a balancing act.” Dustin shares a piece of wisdom from his dad: “If I have to eat a plate full of ‘carrots,’ at least give me a big spoon so we can get this over with.” This pragmatic approach has helped the team navigate issues with subpar products and discontinued lines. We’ve overcome these hurdles and improved product quality through open communication and strong partnerships. In the past three years, we’ve seen significant improvements in our team’s performance, partly thanks to enhanced hiring processes. With guidance from the HR team, we’ve become adept at identifying top talent during the hiring process, ensuring our team is skilled and a joy to work with. The result is a group that excels at their jobs while keeping the workplace atmosphere light and enjoyable.

Two challenges the department has recently faced are the quality of products from manufacturers and discontinued lines. The team has found it effective to address these issues head-on with manufacturers and customers, being willing to have tough conversations and providing necessary
