These Are the Results We Can Achieve With Your Referrals
JULY 2023
If you live with someone long enough, and their personality is strong enough, they can pull a blindfold over your eyes and change the way you see the world. Suddenly, fact can become fiction, and fiction can become fact. That may sound extreme, but it’s exactly what happened to one of our clients (I’ll call her Monica) in her marriage. Her husband (I’ll call him Todd) wasn’t a good partner, but she was terrified to leave him because he’d planted false fears in her mind about divorce. Over their years together, Todd slowly isolated Monica from her friends and family. He was the primary breadwinner for her and their two daughters, and he convinced Monica that if she left him, she’d be financially destitute. He even told her that if she filed for divorce, he’d claim she abandoned their kids so that he could win full custody and take them away forever. Monica was breaking. She told her therapist (I’ll call her Nicole) that she was terrified of divorce but even more terrified of staying in her marriage to a potential narcissist. Fortunately, Nicole knew what to do. “Monica,” she said, “why don’t you talk to my friends at Atlanta Divorce Law Group? They can help.” I’m so glad Monica made that call. When she came to see us, she was emotionally fragile and had a dysfunctional view of her legal and financial rights. Our team talked through her false beliefs about divorce and showed her they were exactly that — false! We explained the real worst-case and most likely scenarios she could face. Slowly, we poked holes in the blindfold Todd had pulled over Monica’s eyes until she could finally take it off. Monica gave us permission to speak with Nicole about their sessions, and she helped us identify each of Monica’s fears and bring them to the surface, where we tackled them one by one. Her effort yielded amazing results, but ultimately, Monica did the hardest work. She faced the truth about her marriage, sought and accepted help, and then looked inward to come to terms with her false reality. It was an immense challenge — but it was worth it!
In the end, Monica left her marriage with the financial security to buy her own home. She won primary custody of her girls and only has to see Todd during his visitation. She’s finally free from his program of emotional abuse! Our team couldn’t achieve outcomes like these without referral partners like Nicole. We do our best work side-by-side with our clients’ therapists, real estate agents, and business law attorneys. If you’re one of those professionals and know someone who needs help, please send them our way! Through July 31, your referrals can unlock a complimentary consultation with the code VIPCONSULT. Ask them to share it when they call 678-203-9893 or include it in the Contact Us form on our website. They can scan the QR code below to get started. –Sara Khaki “Monica was breaking. OCEAN ACTIVITIES THE ENTIRE FAMILY WILL LOVE Master the Waves Many children are fascinated by the mystery and beauty of outer space, but most tend to lose their reverence as they get older. That doesn’t have to be the case! A night of stargazing is the perfect way to spend a romantic evening or have a fun time with your family. But creating the ideal experience isn’t always as simple as stepping outside and looking up. Here are some tips to make the most of an astrological adventure. A NIGHT TO REMEMBER Create the Perfect Stargazing Experience PICK THE RIGHT NIGHT. All nighttime skies are not created equal. Would-be stargazers must consider the weather and cloud cover. Further, the light from the moon tends to wash out the dimmer sparkle of distant stars, and it’s best to go during or immediately before or after a new moon phase. It can all be complicated, so make it easier with a stargazing forecasting site like GoodToStargaze.com . It will provide all the technical details and a simple “yes” or “no” verdict about the evening’s stargazing suitability. FIND THE IDEAL SPOT. Those who live in rural areas without much light pollution won’t have to go far to see the stars, but everyone else should do a little planning. Scope out a location away from city lights that has an unobstructed view of the sky, and make sure it’s legal for you to go there. You’ll also need a place to set up blankets or chairs for a comfortable and relaxed experience.
BRING ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES. Don’t ruin the perfect evening by being unprepared! After so much planning, the last thing you want is to be run off by a chilly breeze or some pesky mosquitoes. The summer night in an open space may be cooler than expected, so bring a sweater or jacket. Ensure your clothing and seating are comfortable, and don’t forget bug spray. It’s also wise to pack some snacks and plenty of water. Further, you can step up your game by bringing binoculars or a star map.
But remember to take all your goodies home with you. Leave nothing behind so the next amateur astrologists can enjoy their experience as much as you did.

One of the most important decisions anyone will make regarding their vacation is where they stay. This is especially true for summer vacations at the beach. Everyone has a different idea of their ideal vacation, and where you stay can make or break the trip.
Here are a few things to consider before booking a beach rental for your vacation.
SIZE MATTERS How many people are coming on your trip? Is it just you and your significant other, or are children

coming? You will want to pick a rental to fit your family’s needs. If your traveling party is small, a condo or apartment overlooking the beach will likely work. If your family is large or you’re worried about the kids being too loud, consider a single-family beach house instead.
“I used [ADLG for] my divorce. They were very friendly and professional. They did an excellent job. They made what can be a very stressful process as stress-free as possible. I would highly recommend them.” –Jared S. “Megan Hoxsey turned my divorce around and delivered results that exceeded expectations. I am thoroughly pleased with the results, [and] highly recommend her. Rachel is awesome, too. I cannot begin to thank them enough.” –Todd S. WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING!
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION You probably already know what
beach to visit, but choosing a specific unit can be challenging. Is a rental with a grand view of the beach and the ocean worth the
cost, or is one without quite the view (but less expensive) still acceptable? You’ll also need to examine the surrounding area to ensure it has everything you need. If you don’t want to drive much once you settle in, choose a rental within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants. THE EXTRAS You should consider a couple of other things when booking a beach rental. If you plan to bring your pets, ensure the rental you book is pet-friendly. It’s also worth investigating if the beach itself is dog-friendly, as bringing your furry friend to the beach can make the vacation even more enjoyable. Many rentals also provide beach toys, body boards, and more so you don’t have to spend money buying or renting them at shops. Read through the rental description, and don’t hesitate to ask the owner any questions. 3 678-203-9893
Reset Your Skin With Skin termittent Fasting The Skincare Hack Everyone Is Talking About
HOW TO SKINTERMITTENT FAST. The first step is to use a gentler, hydrating cleanser without harsh ingredients. Look for a cleanser with hyaluronic acid and ceramides to help build back
You may have heard of the diet trend “intermittent fasting,” where participants eat their entire day’s worth of calories in a few hours and fast for the remaining hours. This diet gives your body a break between meals to improve function and promote weight loss.
This diet trend inspired the latest skincare fad, “skintermittent fasting.”
your skin’s barrier. Next, you’ll want to follow with a moisturizer containing sodium hyaluronate, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid, all great ingredients for repair and hydration. And that’s it! The key is avoiding products containing “pro-inflammatory ingredients
WHAT IS SKINTERMITTENT FASTING? Like the diet, skintermittent fasting involves giving your body a break from its regularly consumed products. But instead of food, you’re giving your face a break from your usual skincare routine. According to Kunal Malik, MD, a board-certified dermatologist, there’s good reason to give your skin a breather: “By avoiding stronger acids like alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids, physical or chemical exfoliates such as retinol and retinoids, you can allow the skin’s epidermal barrier to reset and rebuild,” he says. A lot of the skin products we use daily contain harsh ingredients, and while they may help us solve whatever issue we’re trying to address (acne, wrinkles, pigmentation), their harsh chemicals can damage our skin over time, so giving our skin a break from these products gives it time to rebuild and recover. THE BENEFITS OF SKINTERMITTENT FASTING. By giving your skin a break from harsher ingredients, your body can reduce the irritation and inflammation it has built up in response to those products. The reduced inflammatory response results in more hydrated, clear, and glowing skin that is less puffy and more elastic.
like retinoids, acids, bleaches like benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, and aggressive exfoliants — especially those with scrubbing grains,” says Dr. Malik.
Skintermittent fast for about a week to let your skin fully recover, and then continue your previous routine as usual to enjoy this trend’s hydrating and restorative benefits!
ATTENTION GEORGIA PARENTS! Do You Know Enough About Grandparents Rights?
Most custody battles only involve two people: The child’s parents. But sometimes, things get more complicated. Here in Georgia, grandparents can also join the fray and fight an uphill battle for custody of their grandchildren. Whether you’re married or divorced, if you have kids or grandkids, then you should know these three things about grandparents rights. 1. Grandparents can gain custody of their grandchildren if staying with their parents would cause them “physical and emotional harm.” Georgia courts always assume that children are best off living with their parents. However, grandparents can overcome that default by proving that 1) staying with their parents will harm the child, and 2) their grandchild will be healthier and happier with them. 2. In some cases, grandparents can demand court-ordered visitation. When a family feud turns bitter, parents sometimes separate grandparents from their grandchildren. If this happens here in Georgia, the grandparents might be able to take legal action. They can file for court-ordered visitation if 1) their grandchild does not live with both of their parents, 2) the parents do not have legal rights to their child, or 3) the parents are separated or divorced. 3. Grandparents can win visitation if they can prove it’s in their grandchild’s best interest. Their own interests don’t matter. Unfortunately, Georgia courts don’t care if a grandmother wants to bake cookies with her grandchildren or a grandfather wants to plan a multi-generational fishing trip. To them, the only thing that matters is the well-being of the grandchild. If the grandparents can present “clear and convincing evidence” that the child will be happier with them, they can win visitation.
If you still have questions about grandparents’ rights in Georgia, we’re here to answer them! This is a complicated subject for parents and grandparents alike.
