Is it 'because I am afraid of ridicule and of what others may say of me? "Whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of Man be ashamed."—Luke 9. Is it because of the inconsistencies of professing. Christians? "Every one of us shall give an account of himself to God."—Rom. 14:12. Is it because I am not willing to give all to Christ? "What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"—Mark 8:36. Is it because I am afraid that I will not be accepted? "Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cqst out." —John 6:37. Is it because I am too great a sinner? "The blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin."— 1 John 1:7. Is it because I am thinking that I will do as well as I can, and that God ought to be satisfied with that?
