Service First Processing Partners With PressWise BY GREG KISHBAUGH
BOBST Connect: Progress, Performance, and Potential Several years on from its launch in 2022, BOBST Connect has evolved into a central pillar of BOBST’s vision for a connected, da- ta-driven packaging industry. What began as a digital platform providing remote access to machine and performance data has become a comprehensive digitalization ecosystem – integrating machines, workflows, quality systems and factory software across entire plants. So, what has been the real-world impact so far? What have customers gained in prac-
Service First Processing (SFP), a provider of payment technology solu- tions, has formed a new strategic partnership with PressWise, a provid- er of web to print and management information system (MIS) software for print and fulfillment companies. For members of the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Associa-
tion (FTA), this partnership brings together two solutions already famil- iar to the flexographic printing community. SFP has worked closely with FTA to help flexographic printers and converters automate accounts payable and receivable and reduce processing costs, and this part- nership extends that same commitment into the production side of the business by embedding modern payment technology directly into the workflow software many shops already rely on. Digital Difference This partnership brings together SFP’s expertise in digital payments with PressWise’s comprehensive business management platform, en- abling flexographic printers and converters to streamline operations, improve payment efficiency, and gain greater control over their finan- cial workflows. PressWise’s platform reportedly empowers businesses to manage estimating, ordering, production, fulfillment, and invoicing all within a single system. By integrating SFP’s technology into this ecosystem, FTA member businesses can enhance payment processes, improve cash flow, and reduce administrative workload, all while receiving an annual rebate.
tice? Where were the early challenges? And what comes next? When BOBST Connect was introduced, it marked a decisive shift. For the first time, BOBST made machine data available to cus- tomers via the cloud, accessible from any de- vice and location. That move fundamentally changed how packaging converters could interact with their equipment. In many factories at the time, production data was still being collected manually. Ma- chine connectivity often relied on complex, in- dividually programmed interfaces. There was no universal standard for simple integration.
