Markets in Philadelphia, PA. Since then, Target Building Construction has produced a significant portfolio of con- struction projects for many of the most recognized brands in retail. Pre-construction services are always central to the success- ful outcome at Target Building Construction. From initial meetings with owners and design teams, we take a lead- ership role to coordinate the activities of all parties and ultimately determine the best overall plan for successful proj- ect delivery. Describing the impact of pre- construction planning, Rich Goodman, president of Target Building Construction, advises “The most successful projects are those where we’ve been involved from the inception, and where everyone sits down as a team with the ultimate goal in mind.” We have amassed an histori- cal database that lets us pro- vide our clients with solid op- tions in estimating and design. Pre-construction services are essential to determining the constructability of any retail or supermarket project. On average over the past ten years, we have built sixteen retail projects annually. Recent standout projects include: Stanley’s True Value Hard- ware Store, Roxborough, PA • 13,000 s/f built on the exist- ing Stanley’s site. • Site layout placed the new building on the existing park- ing lot to permit continuous operation throughout construc- tion. Wal-Mart Superstore, West Deptford, NJ • 228,000 s/f on 38 Acres requiring Extensive SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Pre- vention Plan). • Store was completed within the required 218-day sched- ule. Giant Supermarket & Gas Station, Exeter, PA • 86,000 s/f built on a 32- week schedule and completed on time and within budget. Includes CTCE Credit Union and Giant Gas Station. • Green building aspects include solar tracking natu- ral light harvesting skylights integrated with the energy management system. continued on page 12C
