Cantsink Manufacturing said it is the only maker of helical piers at 16-inch and 19-inch diameters that offer certification from the International Code Council (ICC). Cantsink’s 2-7/8-inch HHS and its 1.5-inch RCS have received ICC certification after 20 months of testing, inspection, and published reporting. This new ICC-certified product line offers a wider range of options for tie back anchors, vertical and compression piles, and micropiles. Cantsink helical piers offer guaranteed stability for foundations, retaining walls, and other structures under a wide range of soil and weather conditions, the company said. Cantsink products are ideal for new construction as well as remedial stabilization.
Cortec Corporation’s new brochure, VpCI Building Blocks and Additives for Water Treatment Formulations, focuses on prevention of corrosion and scale buildup in process water. Additives for boilers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and condensate lines can be instrumental in lengthening the life of a system and reducing maintenance. Additionally, Cortec’s corrosion inhibitor additives make great building blocks for full water treatment formulations, the company said. VpCI molecules diffuse throughout the enclosed space and adsorb on metal surfaces below and above the surface of the water, forming a thin molecular corrosion-inhibiting layer that protects against oxygen, chlorides, and other corrosive elements.
