Rdr std mnt became one-paced over the final stages of the event and, in his opinion, is now looking for a step-up in distance. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Royal Randwick 23/10/2021 Tactics queried. Rider stated it laid inwards which proved difficult to ride. She added she should have made a greater effort passing the 800m to take up a closer position. Rider reported after being fractious in barriers his mount was slow away and failed to run on in the straight. He added may benefit from blinkers. Vetted, no abs. Caulfield 13/10/2021 From the 400m until the 300m was held up for clear running. From the 300m continued to be held up on heels. Approaching the 200m was shifted to the outside of rnrs to secure clear running and in doing so made contact with another rnr, and raced in restricted room for some distance after the 200m.
