The RBC Blue Water Fund recently provided a grant for $5,000 to support the East- ern Ontario Children’s Water Festival, offered by the St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences. The Water Festival is a three-day event that takes place in several communities throughout eastern Ontario. Children participate in a full day of hands-on activities that teach messages of water conservation, water protection, water awareness, and water science. The United Way of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry has reached the 42 per cent of its 2012 fundraising target. The charitable organization is working towards a fun- draising goal of $685,000. Allstate Insurance’s Cornwall office donated $300 to the campaign on Nov. 20.
