The reconstruction will deliver on a multi-year plan to establish a dedicated Machinery Center of Excellence for highly automated strapping systems, focusing largely on product development and customization for end-of-line packaging equipment. The existing facility will retain com- pany executive offices and central services while further focusing as the Center of Excellence in innovation and production for fully recyclable strapping and consumables. The current expansion solves growing pains for the company and pays homage to a longstanding company legacy. The building will also boast a first-of-its-kind customer showroom, making company headquarters in Pennsylva- nia a more convenient midpoint for clients throughout the Americas. The showroom will display many of the com- pany’s highly automated machines where customers are hosted from a sales and service standpoint. The reconstruction of the facility is scheduled to be completed with occupancy by February 2024. “This is not just a one-time investment or expansion. The natural flow of fur- niture and space is expressly intended to reflect the company’s dedication to quality, focus on superior design, and high stan- dards of excellence. “Part of that over $20 million invest- ment is the realization that we need to de- velop training programs to build the next generation of folks that will be able to both design and produce our machines and the strapping products. That’s an investment in the community realizing that developing the workforce is critical to our future,” said D’Ottavio. In 1989, seven years after opening its doors, EAM-Mosca moved its company headquarters from Long Island, New York to Pennsylvania. The company leadership has sought to make EAM-Mosca an inte- gral part of its local community and estab- lish itself as a pillar of the larger Pennsylva- nia business community.
