AICC Partners With The Packaging School On Certificate Program AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, in collab- oration with The Packaging School, announced the launch of the Business Management in Corrugated Packaging (BMCP) Certificate Program, a first-of-its-kind professional development opportunity crafted for professionals in the corrugated industry. Enrollment is now open for the inau- gural cohort, beginning Fall 2025. This immersive, 12 to 18-month program blends core MBA-level business principles with specialized instruction in corrugated packaging, empowering participants to lead in today’s marketplace confidently. Through a rigorous combination of in-person instruction, online coursework, and real-world application, professionals will gain the fi-

nancial, operational, and strategic insight essential for driving meaningful results in their companies. Participants will: • Master Business & Packaging Strategy – Develop lead- ership, finance, and operational skills tailored to the corrugated industry. • Customized Learning Experience – Participants choose course paths aligned with personal and professional objectives. • Engage with Industry Experts – Learn directly from in- dustry professionals and connect with peers in a small, collaborative cohort of 5-10 participants. • Solve Real-World Challenges – Apply classroom learn- ing to real industry issues through a comprehensive capstone project. The BMCP program, facilitated by Julie Rice Suggs, PhD, begins with an in-person kickoff at The Packaging

School in Clemson, South Carolina, where participants meet their cohort and facilita- tor, establish personal learning goals, and work with an advisor to select their cours- es. Next, they will complete the Clemson Corrugated Packaging Seminar—a two- day immersive event focused on emerging industry trends, material innovations, and cutting-edge packaging design. Participants will then move into the pro- gram’s core, selecting two courses from each of the five modules: Leadership & Strategy, Operations Management, Mar- keting & Sales, Finance & Business Acu- men, and Packaging Design & Innovation. These modules cover topics ranging from corporate strategy and project manage- ment to lean manufacturing, safety compli- ance, financial forecasting, and more. The capstone project is a signature el- ement of the program. Participants will ap- ply their learning to a real-world challenge in the corrugated industry, culminating in a formal presentation of their solution to a board of industry leaders, AICC execu- tives, and representatives from their com- pany. Finally, participants will celebrate their success and be recognized at the AICC Annual Meeting, where they will receive their certificates. “The BMCP program is a unique edu- cational experience,” said Mike D’Ange- lo, President of AICC. “It’s designed not only to build business acumen but also to deepen packaging-specific knowledge in ways that matter most to independent con- verters and their future.” Applications are now being accepted.
