Jurassic Spark – Stephen Custance Baker, Rick Lilley & Lynn Wood: 165 pts 7. Bude Wreckers – Martin French, Andy Middleton & Bobbo Peers: 160 pts (‐4) 8. Right up until the final match, four teams were still in the running for the title—but after two thrilling, action‐packed days, it was the Roade Runners (Lionel Tibble, Peter Tofield & Liz Bulbeck) who lifted the trophy, finishing just 5 points ahead of the chasing pack! In an incredibly tight finish, The S.A.S, The Three Malleteers, and Archers Arrows all tied on points for second place, with only hoop difference separating 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The level of croquet, team spirit, and even the fancy dress this year made it a weekend to remember—thank you all for bringing such great energy to the event! Also, a huge thank you to those who made long journeys to join us—it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and new ones too. We know the days were quite full, and with that in mind, we’re planning a few tweaks for next year to keep the weekend fun, competitive, and a little more relaxed: • Day One will feature 6 rounds • The Captain’s Choice 7th round moves to Sunday morning • The Top 4 teams will then play off for the overall title, while the bottom 4 will compete for a consolation prize. If teams are tied on points after Round 7, hoop difference will decide the rankings, as we saw this year with the incredibly close battle for 2nd place. We’re confident this new format will help the weekend run more smoothly and give everyone—especially those
