KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Essential: • Thorough and comprehensive experience in a capital development programme leadership role. • Experience of leading and managing professional consultants and contractors or large-scale new building and refurbishment projects. • Experience of leading, managing and developing in-house teams and team members. • Experience of financial management, financial control and reporting. • Possessing a high degree of commercial acumen, with experience of driving quality and value during planning, procurement and delivery stages of projects. • An understanding of liability and contract law. • Experience of negotiating fees and variation costs, including contract dispute resolution. • Experience of leading projects with very high levels of design and environmental sustainability standards. • Experience and track record of successfully navigating the planning process. • An understanding of current technical developments and advancements in structure construction techniques. • Experience and knowledge of innovation relating to modern methods of construction. • Experience and knowledge of procurement
methods relating to construction project and programme delivery. • Sound knowledge of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements associated with design and construction. Experience of commissioning world class designers and architectural outcomes. • Relevant academic / professional qualification in a built environment discipline. • Relevant professional attainment in a project / programme / commercial management discipline.
