In what sense had the widow woman given more than the rich? (vv. 42-44.) Study Questions on Chapter 13 1. What prophecy did Christ make regarding the temple buildings? (v. 2 .) 2. When did this prophecy receive its fulfillment? Study the history of Jerusalem, especially in the first cen­ tury of the Christian era. You will find this information in your Bible encyclopedia. 3. Was the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 the complete fulfillment of the prophecy of Mark 13? How do you know that it was not? (vv. 24-27.) Here is another evidence of the law of double reference or “ installment” fulfillment of Bible prophecy. History does repeat itself, and with regard to Israel and Jerusalem the future holds their most severe chastening by the Lord in “ the time of Jacob’s trou­ ble” during the great tribulation. 4.
