Personal Bible Study continued are any number of words that the Spirit may lay upon your heart to study. It may be that you will spend two or three days in the study of just one word, or you may become so engrossed in such a study that it may extend to a week or two, or even a month.

ever, or you will soon become a “ spoon-fed” Christian, always will ing to let someone else do the re search while you just drink it in. M y last suggestion is an inductive Bible study. Here you really roll up your sleeves and dig deep into the Word for yourself. This method demands hours of concentrated study, but the reward is great. If you can make time in your busy schedule to spend three or four hours one evening per week, you will find this study most thrilling. Space does not permit details con cerning such a study, but for fur ther help I would recommend the purchase of Robert A. Traina’s book, Methods in Bible Study and Teaching. Get a good book on the particular book of the Bible which you wish to study and use it as a help. First read a por tion from the Bible itself and then use the other book to throw further light upon the Scripture which you have just read. Do not use this method of study continually, how

Perhaps you would like to study a single word that runs through a particular book. As you read a book, watch for repetitions of words or phrases and underline them with a colored pencil. When you have completed your study of the book, go back to the beginning and see what the Lord has to say to you as you review the portions underlined. Ask yourself this question, “Why did God repeat this word again and again?” This may open up the book to you in a way you have never seen it before, for know of a surety, God does not repeat something un less it is important. As a starter, why not study the “ believings” of
