I am an optimistic person by nature, but this is the box business, so I am not over when running a manufacturing plant, from high labor and capital expenses to anti-business governments mak- ing terrible decisions like we have here in Maine, and a Federal government issuing tariffs that are hurting many of our customers with higher costs on everything, thus driv- ing them to seek lower box prices to survive. Despite what comes at us, every day we strive toward our vision to be a great place to work, take care of our customers, thrive financially, and give back to the community. It is our inten- tion to pursue that vision for many years to come but it is not easy to be a manufacturer these days. “The competition for workers is fierce so it is import- ant to, no pun intended, think outside the box when at- tracting people to come work at your box shop.
