PATIENT SUCCESS STORIES
“Dr. Nerness and his staff were very kind and professional. Even though I have worked in the industry for over 30 years, it was comforting to have the entire procedure explained in detail to me. Dr. Nerness made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I was seen and treated on the same day. A follow-up telephone call was received the following day to check on my progress and answer any questions. Would highly recommend this practice for your endodontic needs.” –Brenda U. “I was referred here by my dentist who said it’s the only place he sends people for root canals. I 100% agree with that. Every single staff person was incredibly helpful and so nice. Dr. Nerness was great — he listened attentively to my issue, didn’t rush through anything, and also asked if I wanted to know what he was doing throughout the procedure. Would highly recommend!” –Amber S. “My experience with Nerness Endodontics exceeded my expectations. I did not look forward to having another root canal, and I did not have a previous relationship with Nerness Endodontics. I found them to be very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have state-of-the-art technology and an excellent facility. The procedure did not seem rushed and was informative. I appreciated that their customer service was helpful when working with my insurance company. I would highly recommend Nerness Endodontics.” –Gregory L.
TEAM MEMBER HIGHLIGHT
CONGRATULATIONS, JACKIE! OUR LICENSED DENTAL ASSISTANT JUST BECAME A GRANDMA
We’re thrilled to announce that Jackie Her, one of our licensed dental assistants, just crossed a major life milestone. She and her husband, Lee, are officially grandparents! Jackie’s stepdaughter, Angel, welcomed baby Akena into the world just a few months ago. Jackie is still new to the job, but we know she will make an amazing grandma because she’s already raising three beautiful kids: 11-year-old Wylee, 13-year-old Ellana, and 15-year-old Vera. When she’s not assisting Dr. Nerness, she spends every spare moment with them. “I’m constantly taking the kids to activities or driving them to hang out with friends,” she says. “Most of my time at home is spent cooking. My 13-year-old loves cooking and trying new recipes, and Wylee is really into
fishing with his dad. During the summer, they went fishing quite a bit!” Between cooking sessions, Jackie tries to sneak in movies with Lee and snuggle sessions with Ellana’s dwarf bunny, Leo, who has the run of the house. She’s kind and compassionate, and she puts others first — three qualities that make her a great dental assistant. When Jackie joined our team almost five years ago, she brought more than 12 years of dental experience, including eight in endodontics. She’s an expert at talking through the root canal procedure with patients. “A lot of patients who come through don’t really know what a root canal is, so explaining the procedure in detail helps them understand it and recognize why they
need to have one done,” she says. Jackie is sensitive to patients’ other needs, too. She’s always happy to put on their favorite music or fetch them a warm blanket to help them feel more comfortable. But as much as she enjoys those chatty moments, her favorite part of each appointment is the end. “It’s really rewarding when a patient comes in so nervous about the procedure and then afterward says, ‘Wow, I was anxious and worried for no reason! You guys were great, everything was smooth, and you explained things so well,’” she says. Congratulations on your new addition, Jackie! She’s lucky to have you, and so are we.
