ProAmpac , Cincinnati, Ohio, acquired Oregon- based Bonita Pioneer Packaging Products , a com- pany specializing in paper packaging products including custom and stock shopping bags, merchan- dise bags, foodservice packaging, and folding cartons. UK packaging manufacturer Castle Colour in- stalled a Bobst Expertfold 80 folder-gluer from Bobst UK & Ireland Ltd . Fort Dearborn Company completed its acquisition of NCL Graphic Specialties, Inc . NCL has two facili- ties located in Waukesha and Menomonee Falls, Wis- consin, bringing to a total of 17 production locations across NorthAmerica for the combined organization. AWT Labels & Packaging installed a Mark Andy P5 Series 17-inch press. The new ten-unit press is equipped for rotary screen, cold foil, film package, full chill system, LED curing, and has a rail for the turn bar and unwind/rewind units. It also features a Quick Change Die Cut System, which allows for die change overs in less than two minutes. Anilox roll manufacturer Apex International ex- panded its relationship with Anderson & Vreeland Canada, whereby Anderson & Vreeland Canada will become the Apex North America exclusive partner for sales and support for all Canadian provinces for the anilox market.Anderson & Vreeland has serviced the Quebec and Eastern Canadian provinces for the last 12 years. WestRock Co. , Norcross, Georgia, agreed to buy KapStone Paper and Packaging Corp ., Northbrook, Illinois, for about $3.5 billion. WestRock said the deal was valued at about $4.9 billion, including assumption of KapStone’s net debt of about $1.36 billion. TrojanLabel , a Danish manufacturer of digital inkjet label printing machines, and Nilpeter A/S es- tablished an international agreement for the distribu- tion of the Trojan2 digital label press.The agreement covers the specific markets of Nilpeter USA Inc., Nilpeter do Brasil, Nilpeter Asia Pacific, and Nilpeter Ltd. in the UK and Ireland. Multi Packaging Solutions ’ (MPS) facility in Leicester, England, installed a Bobst Novacut 106 ER Autoplaten die-cutter.
