is true, and that God will act accord ing to what He said in His Word. OUr faith, which is feeble at first, is developed and strengthened more and more by use . ... If He gives us sor row and hindrances and Josses and afflictions, we should take them out of His hands as evidences of His love in developing more and more that faith which He is seeking to strengthen in us.—George Muller. Our Bodies Quickened “ If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Rom. 8:11). The essence and. nature of the life which the Spirit brings into our physi cal being is nothing less than the life of Jesus Christ Himself. Not only did He have on earth a human body like ours, but He also has that body still. The resurrection of Christ was physi cal, and His present heavenly body is as perfect apd capable of imparting life and strength to us as is His glori fied Spirit; “We are members of his body,” and the apostle teaches us . . . that even when our own physical powers seem exhausted;'“the life also of Jesus” may be made manifest in our mortal flesh.—A. B. Simpson. Confession—Forgiveness “Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin . . . Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin” . (Ex. 32:31, 32). “ If we confess our sins, he is faith ful and just to forgive us our sins” (1 John 1:9). The prayer of Moses prevailed. Christ’s intercession prevails today for all who come unto God by Him (Heb. 7:25). Prayer is an ordinance of God. It is His plan whereby we shall have great and wonderful blessings by ask ing for them in the name of His Son. God’s loving invitation into His pres ence, which we call prayer, is for our daily acceptance. —The Sunday School Times. i “The same Lord . . . is rich unto all that call upon him” (Rom. 10:12). / My Father is rich in mercy. He delights to forgive, to take away the gnawing fears of my guilty conscience. My Father is rich in goodness. Hav ing perfection of character, He wants me to have HiS likeness. My Father is rich in wisdom. No schemer ever outwitted Him. He knows how to carry on His work to a victorious con clusion. He wants me to have some of His wisdom. may trust us with more of His earthly riches.—Selected. 10. The Pathway of Escape “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all” (Psa. 34:19).
