ENERGY
AST’s principal impact is the improved sustainability and resiliency of energy systems. We have integrated our three capability areas supporting of commercial clients, DOE, and DoD energy programs. AST contributes to the modernization of our electrical grid infrastructure with our applied science & technology expertise in emerging areas such as wind, solar, electric vehicles, and blockchain by framing novel applications of machine learning and AI, and by stewarding initiatives with our finance and certified program management expertise. We leverage our energy competency for to benefit our DoD and commercial clients. Specifically, our work strengthens mission readiness by improving the energy resiliency posture of DoD installations. AST has applied data science to enable DoD clients to leverage the full value of energy data and advanced energy technology. Additionally, we have assisted in the developing and executing DoD microgrid and energy infrastructure projects by applying our finance and program management skills. Our commercial clients benefit from applying our experience and domain knowledge to their planning and projects.
ENVIRONMENT
ASTs sustainable energy expertise naturally extends into the adjacent environmental space. For DOE our mission assurance capability assured proper development of environmental assessments and environmental impact statements in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. Our applied science & technology expertise helps a commercial utility and Government programs, such as FEMP, provide tangible energy efficiency benefits. Our data systems and data science skills are positioned to develop the improvements in environmental regulatory compliance, safety performance, and operational efficiency required to minimize the environmental footprint from commercial upstream and midstream oil and gas operations.
NATIONAL SECURITY
AST furthers the mission of our national security clients by combining our core capabilities with our experience providing support within the intelligence and national security markets' special requirements and constraints. Our cleared staff provide actionable assessments on emerging technology options to support national security functions. AST provides effective program support including processing critical information in a regulatory compliant manner making it actionable for meeting the national security mission. ASTs machine learning and AI capabilities are poised to provide additional capability to support national security missions.
DEFENSE
AST supports national defense clients through our energy and mission assurance expertise. AST improves the energy resiliency posture of DoD installations by providing energy domain-knowledge and enhanced financial analysis and project execution support for distributed energy resource and infrastructure projects. We have also applied our data & decision analytics expertise allowing DoD to reduce costs and improve resiliency by leveraging the full value of energy data.
