This multi-professional programme encompasses modules of study that promote the development of healthcare professionals delivering a high standard of complex, enhanced care for patients, using enhanced levels of clinical judgement, skills and knowledge. The curriculum will concentrate on the analysis, synthesis and appraisal of enhanced clinical evidence-based practice appropriate to individual clinical service provision, seeking out and applying relevant evidence, enhanced clinical assessments, diagnostics, interventions, and equipment to make clinical decisions. The core curriculum (PGCert) will support your clinical leadership within the MDT, clinical reasoning, patient/family/carer education, resilience, health and wellbeing of self and others, and responsiveness to and the promotion of transformative change and development. Optional modules (PGDip) promote the development of generic and specialist knowledge and skills relevant to your scope of clinical practice and expertise. The research and dissertation modules (MSc) provide the opportunity for you to develop knowledge of service evaluation, research and audit techniques to support quality improvement processes and conduct a small research project addressing a practice dilemma, relevant to your area of enhanced clinical practice.
