STEAM Tank Entrepreneur Camp NEW Challenge Island Staff Calling all innovative and inventive kids to an exciting adventure in STEAM and entrepreneurship! Campers become young entrepreneurs, collaborating with their STEAM Teams to design, create and launch new businesses each day. From PIZZApreneur Day to SWEETreprenur Day, SLIMEtrepreneur Day and PETrepreneur Day, campers dive into different industries, learning key entrepreneurial concepts while applying creativity, problem-solving and teamwork skills to real-world challenges.
Once upon a time, there was a bestselling camp that turned favorite children’s books into fantastical slimy adventures! Campers dive into the pages of classic children’s stories, transforming their favorite literary moments into slimy, hands-on experiments. Our STEAM
Teams mix up new slime creations inspired by beloved tales like Alice’s Unbirthday Cake Slime, Charlie’s Everlasting Gobstopper Slime, Percy’s Blue Cookie Slime, Narnia’s Turkish Delight Slime and STEAMwarts Butter Beer Slime. Through each slime creation, campers explore scientific concepts like chemical reactions, material properties and texture manipulation. They experiment with different ingredients, learning how to mix and measure to create unique slime textures and colors. Themed slimes bring stories to life, encouraging creative storytelling alongside the science of slime. Each camper receives a copy of Surprise at Blowcart Beach: A Challenge Island STEAM Adventure, a book filled with slimy science, fun facts and interactive challenges. The book keeps the fun going at home, while campers continue learning through hands-on activities.
Each day is packed with hands-on activities that teach essential business skills, such as: Designing & Creating: Campers develop innovative products and services using a variety of materials and STEAM principles, from creating edible treats on SWEETreprenur Day to crafting slime on SLIMEtrepreneur Day. Business Strategy: Campers learn how to create a business plan, identify their target audience, and design marketing strategies while gaining insights into what makes a business successful. Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Throughout the week, campers work together to troubleshoot challenges and find creative solutions, learning the importance of resilience and adaptability in business. Pitching & Presentation Skills: The grand finale offers an opportunity to present business ideas to a panel of “island sharks” who judge their pitches based on creativity, feasibility and potential impact. By the end of this action-packed week, campers gain not only a hands-on understanding of how businesses run but also valuable entrepreneurial skills that serve them in any future endeavors. Plus, they have fun while exploring the world of business from a completely unique perspective!
