With laminates, panels, matching ABS edging and much more, EGGER offers the architecture and design industry a product range that can be used in different combinations for a consistently flawless finish. All products uphold impressive sustainability standards, allowing industry users to design with care for both the environment and the end user.
Supporting the growing desire to Specify Responsi- bly, EGGER’s product range offers a myriad of design advantages and sustainability benefits. With the range spanning Eurodekor® panels, Eurolight® panels, Flam- mex panels, Laminate, PerfectSense® décor, Feelwood® décor, Compact Laminate, Worktops, GreenTec Floor- ing and PerfectSense® Feelwood panels, EGGER gives designers and architects the opportunity to create the ultimate interior space. “EGGER is a global trendsetter in the market for products and design options,” says John Dalla Via, National Business Development Manager at ForestOne, the National distributor for EGGER in Australia. “Egger brings the latest trends and also sets them by using technology to maximise the benefits of the décor and substrate it is pressed on.” With 77 laminate and 60 panel décors stocked in Australia, ForestOne’s versatile EGGER range includes the PerfectSense® Matt décors, which are manufactured with anti-fingerprint technology, anti-bacterial benefits and a film coating that offers protection during the manufactur- ing and installation process. Alongside this is the hyper- realistic Feelwood® wood grain range, which gives the visual and sensory experience of real wood. Feelwood® decors come with matching long grain and end grain ABS edging, allowing for complete design coverage that is only limited by one’s imagination. When combined, the PerfectSense Feelwood® range “brings the best of both worlds,” says John. “This enables the architecture and design industry to design using a Black Woodgrain with anti-fingerprint technology in a décor that feels impossible not to touch.” Completing the laminate range is EGGER’s 13mm compact laminate, an alternative that is available
in nine décors that is perfect for heavy-duty commercial interior design or furniture in horizontal or vertical applica- tions. The compact laminate is also available with a white core, for a clean and more dynamic appearance. In ForestOne’s EGGER range of panels, Eurode- kor® offers 60 locally stocked décor options with match- ing ABS edging and a texture that’s similar to real wood. Available in several thicknesses, including the recently added 25mm range in 16 of the most popular décors, Eurodekor® is ready for immediate use, requiring no oiling, staining or other protective measures. For a lightweight but robust option, Eurolight® panels are manufactured with a hexagonal honeycomb core and come in 10 pre- finished melamine-faced décor options. Both Eurodekor® and Eurolight® panels have been created in extra-large sheet sizes for design and manufacturing optimisation, with identical surface finishes available across selected EGGER products for a consistent aesthetic right down to the edging. Furthermore, EGGER’s Eurodekor® and Eurolight® come with standard antimicrobial and chemical resistance surface protection that is easy to clean and requires no ongoing maintenance. Further complementing the panel range is EGGER Flammex, a pre-finished melamine-faced chipboard in eight décors that is certified with the Building Code of Australia for fire ratings. Tested locally, EGGER Flammex achieves Group 1 fire certification for use in commercial buildings here in Australia providing design- ers with a beautiful and safe option where required. Lastly, in the manufacturing of Eurodekor® and Flammex, the products are made from 87 per cent renewable resources and 65 per cent recycled content, while Eurolight® is made from 88 per cent and 66 per cent respectively.
In Brisbane’s Riverside Centre, Eurodekor® panels and laminate in Tobacco Pacific Walnut seamlessly echo the existing interior.
Complementing the panels and décors, ForestOne’s EGGER range of Worktops are available in 13 décor options ranging from solids to stone replicas and con- cretes right through to wood reproductions. Offered in either square-edged or post-formed edge profiles, the Worktops are also anti-bacterial, chemical resistant, Food Safe certified and can be matched perfectly to other selected EGGER products. Accompanying this is Green- Tec Flooring, available in seven sustainable décor options, including concrete, chevron and timber look. With a Class 33 Wear Rating for commercial fit-outs, GreenTec Flooring also comes with a 0.9 millimetre cork underlay built for sound absorption with Australian standard anti-slip ratings of R10 and P4. Boasting a 72-hour water resistance means it can be installed in kitchen and laundry environments, and designed to work with underfloor heating and cooling, the GreenTec flooring range is easy to install with its own patented CLIC it! system. “EGGER provides the latest European and global décor design trends with surface textures that enable
designers to use them now,” says John. Due to EGGER’s ability to match surface finishes across multiple products they may be used in different applications in the one proj- ect. Even challenging installations such as curved walls that intersect with flat end panels are possible, and John has seen an increase in their prominence in both commer- cial and residential designs as a result. “With EGGER you can do this and not see a difference when the laminate, panels and edging intersect,” he explains. “EGGER manu- factures its own ABS edging, which is unusual for a wood product manufacturer.” A complete match is possible in not only décor colour but also surface texture. With the global move towards designing, building and using products with a transparent supply chain, EGGER also offers third-party certification. “This allows a designer to specify, use and validate EGGER products within their designs knowing that they have used some of the best carbon footprint products, containing both post-industrial and post-consumer wood waste,” says John.
