The Embrun Panthères decided to lunch on the Aigles and Lions. The home team’s offense outscored the St-Isidore Aigles 4-1, on November 20, at the Embrun arena. Less than twominutes in the first period, the Panthères’ offense overwhelmed the vi- siting Aigles. Captain Shawn Ennis recorded his fifth goal of the season, assisted by Josh Renaud and Tyler Cayen. “It’s always hard-fought, tight hockey games when playing St-Isidore as they are a fast, hard working team,” explained Embrun coach and general manager Jay Campbell. “We got off to a great start, scoring less than 2minutes in. We controlled the play for most of the period, outshooting St-Isidore 23-6.” Yet the home team wasn’t done preying on their rival. With 5:27 remaining in the first period, Renaud managed to squeeze the puck behind St-Isidore goaltender Mi- guel Laroche. It was assisted by Ennis and Sébastien Roy. The Aigles tried soaring high early in the second period, when Mandel Jean-Louis beat Panthers goalie Dana Polex, 7:42 into the half.
