SNOW QUEEN Year two had an exciting trip to the Old Rep Theatre last week to watch The Snow Queen. They thoroughly loved the show, clapping and singing along to all of the songs. Year 2 were on the edge of their seats as they followed the children on their journey to stop the Snow Queen carrying out her evil plan.
Thanks to Mrs. Johnson for the story.
NURSING HOME At Beechcroft, we sang Christmas carols to the elderly. We sang songs like: Sparkle and Shine, Little Donkey and Jingle Bells. But that wasn't all we sang. We had a few volunteers who played their instruments to accompany the music. We had a violin, guitar and a trumpet. The elderly loved it and smiled with glee. We asked the elderly to sing along to Jingle Bells. We had some speakers to introduce the songs. We had a wonderful time singing to them. After we fi nished, they gave us a drink and a tub of sweets to say thank you. It was extremely lovely to share our Christmas spirit. Thanks to Sawyer, Olivia and Alice in 4V for the story. [Ed - Y4 also raised money by baking and selling cakes. The money was used to buy hygiene products at the request of Beechcroft Nursing Home, wrapped and delivered as presents - well done Y4]
