Antipodean antics! Animals help learning

TOUCH IT Last Tuesday, Year 2 had lots of animal visitors in school! To start our Australian topic, we learnt about animals which would be most commonly found in Australia. We also had the opportunity to hold and stroke them. Everyone was very brave and enjoyed meeting some amazing animals, including: a kookaburra, snakes, a turtle, a tarantula, a lizard and scorpions! We are all very excited to learn more throughout our Australian topic!

Thanks to Mrs. Yale for the story.

KICK IT In September, I started playing football for Perrywoods United FC. We worked hard, playing in different positions and learning new skills. I helped my team to get to the fi nal by scoring a goal. Then it was time for the ‘Winter Cup Final’, Barcelona vs Roma. I brought my elf teddies for good luck. At the end of an exciting match it was 3-2 to Barcelona. Barcelona took the win. Yeah, we won like Lionel Messi.

Thanks to William in 3MW for the story.
