ately prive in to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and confess the sin. The word “confess” means to say the same thing. We have to recognize sin as God does. Once you have done this then, by faith, you accept the for giveness God gives. He doesn’t tell us to keep asking for forgiveness. He is as good as His word. It is nothing less than outright unbelief to feel that He will not forgive. Lay hold upon what God has said, just as much as you laid hold upon His blessed Word when you trusted Christ for salvation. Make no mistake, the devil will try to cast doubts into your mind, robbing you of your joy and assurance. WE SHALL SOON BE HOME NOW The frost was biting his little feet, And his lips were blue with cold, As he trudged 'long by his mother's side A mite about six years old. The coat he wore was shabby and bare, His trousers none too good; And I saw beneath his curly hair That tears in his blue eyes stood. He carried a bundle, far too large For a child so small and slight; Both little arms were around it thrown, Determined to hold it tight. "Oh, Mother, this bundle is so big," He said, with a weary sigh "And 'tis so heavy"— the words were lost In a feeble little cry. On the mother's arm a baby lay Asleep in unconscious bliss; I saw her stoop, in tender love. And give it a gentle kiss. On her strong right arm a basket hung. Laden with meat and bread; She had not a hand to help the lad, She cheered him with words instead. "Never mind, Sonny, we'll soon be home, Father will be waiting there;" The chill winds of adversity may blow off a lot of high hats. h h h

Something she added in cheery tones— What 'twas I could scarcely hear. But as they passed the wind-swept street, My spirit felt strangely free; For all I heard and saw just then Was a parable to me. That mother's words to her little lad— Tired as she could be— Spoken so cheery and bright that day Seemed to give new life to me. They lifted my thoughts from burdens here, To the HOME of light and love, To the "Well done, thou faithful one. Enter thy Home above!" "We shall soon be Home"—O bliss ful words! What visions of joy they bring; From toil and strife to radiant life, In the Home of Jesus our King. Soon be Home, yes; soon be Home! The signs are ever so clear; The night is far spent, the day is near, When Jesus our Lord will appear. CHRIST JESUS CAME The Son of God a ransom came Down from His throne on high, Into this world of sin and shame For us to bleed and die. We read the Father sent the Son To die on Calv'ry's tree; "He tasted death for every man," He tasted death for me. The wrath that was my portion, Lord, Was suffered all by Thee, When tasting death for every man, When tasting death for me. " 'Tis finished," all on Calv'ry's cross, Redemption's work is done; No condemnation, evermore, Through God's beloved Son. O wondrous love and matchless grace That sets the sinner free; The Son of God who loved me so, He gave Himself for me. May love like this unto Thine own, Our hearts and voices raise. Unto the Father and the Son, Our everlasting praise.
