The Capital Projects Team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi | North Central Bronx provides leadership and expertise to manage projects on both campuses, from identifying needs through construction phases and occupancy. The team manages various projects, including but not limited to new construction, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, regulatory compliance, and internal space refurbishment. The team often works as the liaison between the clinical teams and staff, making the needs request and the rest of the project team, including designers, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors. The Capital team works internally with other departments such as EITS, Infection Prevention, Office of Facilities Development, Engineering and Maintenance, Safety, and Environmental Services to ensure adherence and compliance with Health + Hospitals policies and procedures. Most recently, the team also took on interior projects, including refurbishing and refinishing existing spaces. This work includes upgrades of furniture, flooring, and other finishes you see in our buildings. In addition to leading project teams and managing project progress, many in our team contribute invaluable background experience in architecture, engineering, budget management, and construction management. These prior experiences strengthen our team and ensure the successful completion and delivery of projects.

HVAC Upgrades throughout the campus Brickwork/Façade upgrades to comply with Local Law 11 – campus-wide Creation of Wellness Center in Building 4 to include Test
Kitchen, Gym and Event Space Renovation of Post-Partum Units Addition of a second MRI
Create Ambulatory Surgery Suite in Building 1 Upgrade the existing Hyperbaric Chamber Installation of 2 new CT Scanners
