o Collaboration: We, the parents of Levine Academy students, are partners with the school to support the growth and development of the entire Levine community. It is the mission of the Parent Association to work together as an inclusive community for the benefit of student success and advancement. o Commitment: We are committed to promoting our children’s total health, well-being, development and academic success through strong partnerships with the school, parent, family and community involvement. o Morality: We support and demonstrate the Middot (values) of the Ethical Covenant of Levine Academy, consisting of: Caring, Justice, Holiness, Respect, Citizenship, Responsibility, Integrity. o Jewish Law and Tradition: We believe that the proper understanding and expression of Jewish law and tradition enriches Jewish life, binds us with our past, lays a strong foundation for our future, and can help us to make the world a better place. Parent Association (PA) Volunteer Opportunities The goals of the PA include bringing our Levine community together and showing appreciation for our faculty and staff. We have a very active PA with programs throughout the school year. The PA always needs help from volunteer parents at school programs and events throughout the year. Look for opportunities communicated in the school’s weekly e-News and grade-level WhatsApp groups managed by the grade level coordinators (GLCs) - PA volunteers who keep us informed throughout the school year! FIRST FAMILIES The first family committee- in partnership with our Admissions team- helps new families as they join our school community. Notably, they work with administration to assign new families with existing Levine families prior to the start of the school year and these "first families" are great resources in answering questions, scheduling playdates, and introducing new families to other Levine families. TEACHER APPRECIATION Plans a series of events throughout the school year for our faculty and staff showing our appreciation for their hard work. BOOK FAIR Oversees the organization and implementation of our annual book fair, with the underlying goal of building excitement and participation throughout Levine in relation to literacy and reading. GRADE LEVEL COORDINATORS (GLCS) GLCs serve their grade to develop and sustain positive relationships and open communication between the families and with the school. Some younger grades also have Room Parents who represent their specific classroom and help coordinate celebrations and recognition of their teachers. SPIRIT WEAR The PA oversees all things related to Levine Academy’s spirit wear store in coordination with the Advancement team. STALLION SWAP Oversees the collection and display of Levine Academy uniform swap where gently used uniforms are available for families as their children grow.
