In 2023, the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce Association honored Colbert Packaging’s Kenosha facility as a Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment. Employing approximately 300 people, Colbert owns and operates two manufacturing facilities in the Midwest, including the Kenosha, Wisconsin headquarters, which produces offset and flexographic printed folding cartons, pressure-sensitive roll labels and packaging inserts. The Elkhart, Indiana, operation includes folding carton produc- tion and formed paper trays, and there is a distribution warehouse in South Bend, Indiana.

Last year, Colbert Packaging celebrated its 65th Sap- phire Anniversary and its steadfast distinction as an inde- pendent, family-owned business. “Some of my earliest memories include visiting the fac- tory in Chicago,” Nancy said at the time. “Looking back, although the faces have changed, one thing remains — and that’s our commitment to care for our employees and our customers.” Investing In Technology Investing in cutting edge printing and finishing equip- ment and technology is continual in the packaging indus- try, and every year at Colbert, there are significant capital investments designed to provide customers with excep- tional service and create opportunities for employee ca- reer growth. “You never are not investing in new equipment be- cause technologies are changing and getting better and there’s always something new,” Nancy said. Last year, Colbert announced its purchase of a new 10-color RMGT printing press. At 82 feet from end to end, it was the longest printing press sold by RM Machinery in North America. It is now installed and up and running with new printing capabilities for pharmaceutical, healthcare and consumer packaged goods manufacturers.
