Instructions for: Sublimer 20mm Thick
1. When you print your artwork, DO NOT print in mirror image. Print with sublimation ink on sublimation paper.
2. Remove the clear/milky/white protective plastic from the front and back of the Sublimer.
3. The 2-tone Sublimer has a clear front and a white back. When placing your print, ensure it faces the white side of the Sublimer at the back, as it will show through to the front.
4. Take the overlapping white unprinted edges of the transfer paper and fold it over the Sublimer, then secure with heat tape to the sublimer. You will only do this on two sides of the Sublimer. See photos:
5. Set the pressure of your press to high, BEFORE you switch the press on. To do this: * Leave the heat press rubber and Teflon sheet still on the base of your press and place the Sublimer in the center of your press. * Remove the Sublimer from the press after the pressure is set. * Heat the press to 185°C and 185 seconds.
6. When the press is hot, place the Sublimer in the hot heat press. First with the print being at the bottom and the Sublimer on top. DO NOT PRESS YET, SEE NEXT STEP …
7. Now hold the hot element of the press very close to the sublimer, without touching it . Hold it for 70-100 seconds. You want to heat this side of the sublimer first before you press the other side.
8. After the Sublimer is heated up, quickly turn it around so that the print is on top, and the sublimer is at the bottom. Immediately close your press before the sublimer cools down again. Press for 185 Seconds.
9. When time is up, remove the print immediately and let it cool down on a table. No need to put a heavy object on top to stay flat, it straightens itself after it is cooled.
