She promised to read the Gospel left with her and to piray every day to her Father, who would hear and help her. “And I never knew before about it,” she said, as if wondering why the Gospel mes sage had not sooner reached her.—L. C. God works in a mysterious way often. A. Bible woman was sent to a certain home to find a designated party. On arriving at the house we found this party had moved to another part o f the city. After some conversation with the landlady, she said, “Yes, I want to be saved,” and then and there accepted Jesus Christ as her all-suf ficient Saviour. We shall find the other party next- week. “ Sowing beside all waters” is fruitful work, we have found. E H . wherever there is an open door. A Bible Class of from fifteen to twenty is held in our home each Thursday evening, and a definite building-up process is going on in the lives o f many o f those attending. 1 Many opportunities are also afforded for individual ministries to men who are seek ing for light. Men will wait for two weeks and more to get an opportunity to unburden their hearts. These receive instruction, and the response is definite and hearty. Opportunities to minister in other ways have also been given, a number o f calls having come from different cities in -the Bay section to give talks on a variety of subjects such as, “ The Deity o f Christ,” “ The Importance o f a Surrendered Life,” etc. The Christian Endeavorers also asked for a talk at their County Convention on the subject,T'With Jesus in Absolute Sur render,” which was given. Beside this, a goodly sized audience greeted us at a schoolhouse meeting at Diamond Springs, away up in Placer County, one Sunday evening during the month.
