From the Liberty Street Gospel Church of Lapeer, Michigan, for more than 42 years the Gospel of Jesus Christ has gone out over Radio Station WMPC, first started by the Rev. Frank S. Hemingway. The ministry has been written up in numerous magazines including TIME.

Although Lapeer is a city of some 7,000 population, the facility is able to reach out to large metro politan areas such as Flint, Michi gan. Mr. Bracy is a member of the I.F.C.A., and the church has been completely independent since 1939. The avowed purpose of the station is to “ exalt the work and person of our Lord Jesus Christ.” We salute Rad io S ta tion WMPC, Lapeer, M ich igan , in their 42nd year of faithful Gospel proclamation.

The Rev. Arnold Bracy, who became pastor of the church and manager of the station following the death o f Hemingway in 1965, points out that the $40,000 an nual opera ting budget comes largely from donations, with very little on the air solicitation being made. A staff of ten people carry the operation with various re sponsibilities at the station.
