Q. What methods should the S.S. Sup’t. use in carrying out the duties of his position? A. a. Define responsibility — he should help everyone understand just what he is supposed to do. b. Delegate authority — he should encourage each worker to carry out his assigned duties. c. Guide and supervise — he can do this by meeting with the pastor and other key leaders in the S.S. informally to make plans and discuss problems. Q. Do you feel that offering envel opes should be used in our S.S.? A. No doubt about it — using en velopes in S.S. is a good habit for both young and old. First of all, it will triple your offering, and second ly, and most important, using en velopes contributes toward a vital training that develops in children as they participate. T h e U s e o f E n v e l o p e s 1. Strengthens a child’s faith to ward stewardship. Normal children are interested in pleasing and obey ing the Lord. Using envelopes gives a child definite means for doing that which in his heart he wants to do. It will teach systematic, regular and generous giving. 2. Establishes a good habit every Christian needs. Giving is a habit learned early in life. This habit will lead to a rich, rewarding life ful filling the words of Jesus “ It is more blessed to give than to receive.” 3. Helps a child to understand the whole matter of giving in church. Giving is a part of worship. A child can learn this early in life. He often asks; “How much ?” Through the use of envelopes you and your family can give regularly a n d systematically thus helping to establish a standard your child can build upon. Tithing soon becomes a basis of giving. 4. Leads to concepts of responsi bility. Regular giving always takes on new concepts and responsibilities. Full commitment or dedication is the ultimate goal learned only through giving. 5. Prepares the way for a stronger church of tomorrow. It stands to rea son that children who mature under the discipline of systematic giving through the use of offering envel opes, will become leaders in the church of tomorrow — leaders who will give regularly and generously. Use offering envelopes in your Sunday school. It will help the school, it will strengthen your program, and above all things, it will teach stew ardship to the individual student.

WHERE CAN A JEW FIND CHRIST? On street corners, in homes, in shops, and in our witnessing cen ters, our workers faith fully proclaim the story of redemption accord ing to Moses and the prophets, and the gos pel message from the New Testament, and Jews are finding the Saviour. A Jewish boy accepted a tract, "Isaiah's Por trait of Messiah" and immediately asked, "Can you tell me more about this?" There on a street corner in Chicago a 12 year old boy listened intently to the skillful presentation of the Scriptures and ac cepted Jesus Christ as his Messiah and Sav iour. A middle-aged Jew ess, after hearing the gospel for several years at Miami Beach called and. said, "I am terribly distressed. Please come over. I must find the Lord today."
