BRIDGING THE GAP BRIDGING THE GAP

The first half of the event allowed the SGA to provide updates on the current agenda and listen to or address the concerns of their Worldwide constituents. The second half of the event consisted of a social activity for students to connect and network with one another in a fun, but academically and professionally driven, environment. In addition to the Student Experience, the SGA hosted their first ever Town Hall meeting, followed by participants attending the annual World Cultural Festival in Washington, D.C. Tickets to the World Cultural Festival were free, and students who attended the event were given food, drink and parking vouchers along with Embry-Riddle swag!

In fall 2023, students joined Student Government Association President, Serafina Vitale (’22, ’24), and Secretary, Quentin Hacker (’24), in Washington, D.C., for Embry-Riddle Worldwide’s first In-Person Student Experience. This one-day, two-part event was created to support Worldwide students in an in-person environment and mitigate disconnect that may occur in an online learning environment.
